The dropping letter blocks can be guided by using the keyboard cursor keys:
• Left arrow – moves the letter block to the left.
• Right arrow – moves the letter block to the right.
• Down arrow – makes the letter block drop faster into place.
The aim of the game is to arrange letters in such a way that words can be spelled. The Dictionary contains the most frequently used words together with some abbreviations. As soon as the game recognizes a correct spelling, the letter blocks of the word will be removed from the playing field and a score will be allocated according to the length and letter value of the word. All of your nicely arranged letters will then fall down causing you to re–plan your word building strategy.
This is not all there is to it: occasionally a Red Smiley Block will be dropped. The Smiley acts as a wild card meaning you can either drop it any place and it will change into a random generated letter or you can choose a letter to your liking. A Letter can be chosen by pressing the appropriate key on the keyboard. Only the letters A–to–Z or a–to–z are allowed.
Fortunately there are some more help out there! If the game likes you a lot it will infrequently drop a bomb! The sole purpose of a bomb is to remove the letter block it hits as well as the seven surrounding letter blocks from a desired position on the playing field. The bomb can be guided with the same three cursor keys used to guide the letter blocks. Drop the bomb with the down arrow key of your keyboard.
By building the word 'TIGME' – either vertically or horizontally – letter blocks will be wiped from the playing field. Example: by spelling 'TIGME' horizontally, all the letters on the same horizontal row will be cleared. By spelling 'TIGME' vertically all the letters in the same vertical column will be cleared.
These are bonus tiles: if you spell a word horizontally inline with these bonus blocks, your total word score will be multiplied by times 2 or times 3. Beware, though: these tiles may also be in the way and make your task more complicated, so it is advisable to remove it from the playing field regularly by dropping a bomb on top of it.
An additional 500 bonus points will be added to your score every time you clear the whole playing field of all letter blocks.
